1857 - Launch of operations of Weibel Frères sawmill in Kaysersberg

1886 - Upgrade of machines fleet of Weibel sawmill. Construction of a boiler house, a steam engine and a new chimney.

1909 - Launch of first papermaking machine in Alsace

1912 - Creation of the company Victor Weibel S.A.

1945 - The Kaysersberg company becomes the Kaysersberg cardboard company

1961 - Kaysersberg cardboard company is taken over by Ferdinand Béghin

1972 - Beghin incorporates a Plastics Division into its range of operations

1973 - The Kunheim site launches production of Akylux plastic packaging

1974 - Beghin changes its name to Beghin Say

1987 - All plastics operations of the David S Smith Group are incorporated within the DS Smith Plastics Division of David S Smith

1989 - Solid board, corrugated board and plastics are incorporated into a subsidiary called Kaysersberg Packaging

1990 - Kaysersberg SA is divested to Jamont Holding. The 2 operations, Kaysersberg SA & Kaysersberg Packaging, are split.

1992 - Jamont divests Packaging to the English group, David S Smith

1995 - Creation of Ducaplast by the David S Smith Group. Investments in an extrusion line, in thermoforming machines and in an injection machine.

1995 - Takeover by the Correx UK Group

1999 - All plastics operations of the David S Smith Group are incorporated within the DS Smith Plastics Division of David S Smith

2001 - Acquisition of Carton Plastico by the Group in Spain

2007 - Takeover by Nantes-based Rivatex Group

2008 - Inauguration & launch of extrusion + conversion operations in Slovakia

2009 - The 5 entities of Kaysersberg Plastics are connected to DS Smith Kaysersberg, thus incorporating Solid Board, Corrugated Board and Plastics operations
